It was down to either Damien Marley with his “Stony Hill” album or Chronixx with his impressive “Chronology” album for me. Both were great bodies of work but Damien Marley had the edge slightly due to the range of styles he used on his album.

Sometimes when a Marley wins, people often complain that it is not fair. This is one of the Marley boys that deserves the credit he gets. Damien Marley is as talented as any artiste you can think of, local and abroad. His “Distant Cousins” album with Nas proves how great he really is. Nas is a rap icon and Damien outshined him on that album in my opinion. Congrats Jr Gong! Chronixx, your time will come bro, just keep making great music.
