There are 4 more guns on the streets of Jamaica as a Manchester Businessman had 4 guns stolen from his home in Mandeville. The thieves stole three shotguns and one 9 mm handgun from the home, they also escaped with several hundred thousand dollars and jewellery.
This owner faces the possibility of being prosecuted as one of the main requirements to get a licensed firearm is being able to secure it. Leaving your guns at home and having them stolen is unlikely to go down well with the FLA and the police. There is now a large search taking place to recover the weapons but they would be lucky to find them again. let’s hope they are recovered though as the last thing Jamaica needs is more armed criminals.
