Madrid suffered their first defeat of the season with a 1 nil loss at home to Real Betis. The highlights of the game can be viewed above. People are already claiming the title race is over, which is nonsense but this is really bad news for Madrid. Being 7 points behind at this stage is far from ideal, especially with Barca looking so ruthless in their games.
Naturally, everyone will blame the fact that Madrid didn’t get any replacements for Morata and James Rodriguez, even though no one was saying that at the start of the season. Captain hindsights will be out in full force, giving their usual speeches but I think it is way too early to panic. Madrid has a strong team and can do anything to any team on any given day.
